Acceptable Use Policy
Rules for lawful, secure, and responsible use of CourierSeal’s document-delivery service.
Effective and last updated September 2, 2026.
This Acceptable Use Policy (“Policy”) applies to every person or organization that accesses or uses the CourierSeal fax and document-delivery service (the “Service”). Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms of Service. This Policy forms part of the agreement between you and CourierSeal LLC (“CourierSeal,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
You are responsible for your account, your users, your Customer Content, the destinations you select, and anyone who uses the Service through your account. You may use the Service only for lawful, appropriate purposes and in a manner that does not harm recipients, CourierSeal, its providers, or other users.
1. Legal compliance and authority
You may not use the Service to:
- violate or facilitate the violation of any applicable law, regulation, court order, contractual obligation, or legally binding industry requirement;
- send, receive, store, or process information without the rights, authority, notices, permissions, or consents required to do so;
- violate privacy, confidentiality, publicity, data-protection, intellectual-property, export-control, sanctions, anti-bribery, or communications laws; or
- help another person conceal, evade, or continue prohibited conduct.
You are responsible for determining which laws apply to your use, including rules concerning fax advertisements, professional records, confidential or regulated information, and international transfers. CourierSeal’s technical acceptance of a document or destination is not legal approval of your use.
2. Prohibited content and conduct
You may not use the Service for content or activity that:
- is fraudulent, deceptive, defamatory, threatening, harassing, hateful, abusive, exploitative, obscene, or intended to intimidate or cause unlawful injury;
- facilitates phishing, identity theft, forgery, extortion, financial fraud, false claims, document tampering, or impersonation;
- sexually exploits a minor, depicts child sexual abuse, promotes human trafficking, or otherwise endangers a child or vulnerable person;
- infringes or misappropriates a copyright, trademark, trade secret, patent, privacy right, publicity right, or other right;
- contains malware, ransomware, spyware, destructive code, or material designed to compromise a recipient, device, system, or network;
- discloses another person’s confidential, financial, health, government-identification, authentication, or other sensitive information without appropriate authority and safeguards;
- promotes or facilitates illegal goods, services, discrimination, violence, terrorism, or activity prohibited by applicable sanctions; or
- otherwise creates a material risk of harm, legal liability, provider sanctions, or disruption to the Service.
3. Unsolicited and advertising faxes
You may not use CourierSeal for fax blasting, indiscriminate outreach, purchased fax lists, or unsolicited bulk communications. You may not send a fax advertisement unless you have the recipient’s prior invitation, permission, or another legally sufficient basis and comply with every applicable identification, disclosure, and opt-out requirement.
You must:
- maintain reliable records of any consent or other basis on which you rely;
- clearly and accurately identify the person or organization responsible for the communication;
- include a legally compliant opt-out notice whenever required;
- provide working methods for recipients to submit opt-out requests and honor those requests within the legally required time; and
- stop sending communications that generate complaints or that a recipient has asked you to stop.
Publication of a fax number does not, by itself, establish permission to send advertisements. CourierSeal does not obtain, verify, or manage recipient consent or suppression lists for you.
4. Identity and transmission integrity
You may not:
- provide false account information or misrepresent your identity, authority, organization, relationship to a recipient, or purpose;
- forge or manipulate sender details, cover-sheet information, references, fax numbers, document metadata, delivery status, or provider information;
- use an assigned CourierSeal number outside the Service to impersonate another sender or make communications falsely appear to originate from CourierSeal;
- knowingly direct documents to an incorrect, unauthorized, or unintended destination; or
- use the Service to evade a recipient block, provider restriction, account suspension, legal process, or prior opt-out request.
5. Security and platform abuse
You may not attempt, assist, or permit anyone to:
- access another user’s account, workspace, documents, contacts, numbers, certificates, credentials, or nonpublic data;
- probe, scan, or test a system or network without the owner’s express permission, or bypass authentication, authorization, rate limits, origin checks, billing controls, or other safeguards;
- interfere with, overload, flood, disrupt, degrade, or deny access to the Service or any connected provider, recipient, system, or network;
- introduce malicious code; intercept traffic; scrape protected data; or obtain credentials, session tokens, signed document URLs, or cryptographic keys without authorization;
- reverse engineer, copy, modify, or exploit the Service except to the limited extent a restriction is prohibited by law;
- use automation to create accounts, provision numbers, submit faxes, or access documents in a way that exceeds documented functionality or normal business usage; or
- conceal the source of activity or coordinate accounts to avoid enforcement or technical limits.
Good-faith security research is not authorized merely because this Policy is public. Contact us before testing any CourierSeal system. Do not access, alter, retain, or disclose another user’s data, and do not perform testing that could affect availability or safety.
6. Number and resource abuse
You may not:
- acquire, retain, rotate, or replace fax numbers for hoarding, warehousing, squatting, parking, resale, fraud, or avoidance of blocks or complaints;
- repeatedly transmit to the same destination, submit duplicate or abandoned jobs, or otherwise generate traffic that is abusive, deceptive, or likely to provoke complaints;
- abuse previews, retries, reconciliation, inbound routing, signed links, certificates, contacts, storage, or notification features;
- circumvent file, page, usage, concurrency, rate, subscription, or payment limits; or
- use the Service in a manner that imposes excessive or unreasonable costs, carrier exposure, storage, processing, or support burden.
7. Delivery records and certificates
You may not alter, forge, backdate, fabricate, or falsely present a CourierSeal delivery record, signature, verification link, manifest, timestamp, document hash, or certificate. You may not misrepresent a record as proof that a particular person read, understood, signed, or legally accepted a document, or that legal-service, filing, admissibility, compliance, or encryption requirements were satisfied.
You may share an authentic record for a lawful purpose, but you are responsible for its personal and confidential information and for explaining the limitations stated on the record. You may not remove or obscure a certificate’s qualifications in a misleading way.
8. High-risk and emergency use
Do not use CourierSeal as the sole method for emergency communications, imminent threats to life or safety, or any situation that requires guaranteed or real-time delivery. The Service is not an emergency service and does not provide emergency calling. For deadlines or regulated submissions, maintain an alternative delivery method and independently confirm the recipient’s requirements and receipt.
9. Enforcement
CourierSeal may investigate suspected violations and may delay, reject, quarantine, or block transmissions; restrict features or destinations; suspend or terminate accounts; release assigned numbers; preserve evidence; and notify affected providers, recipients, authorities, or other parties when reasonably necessary and legally permitted.
We may act immediately when conduct presents a security, legal, recipient-safety, fraud, provider, or operational risk. When appropriate and practicable, we may ask you to correct the issue before taking further action. CourierSeal’s decision not to enforce this Policy in one instance is not a waiver. Enforcement under this Policy is also subject to the disclaimers and limitations in the Terms of Service.
10. Reporting violations
Report suspected abuse, unauthorized use, infringement, or a security concern to support@courierseal.com or through the contact page. Include the relevant CourierSeal reference, dates, and a concise description. Do not include fax documents, passwords, verification codes, payment-card details, or unnecessary personal information in the initial report.
11. Changes to this Policy
CourierSeal may update this Policy to address changes to the Service, law, security risks, provider requirements, or abuse patterns. We will post the revised Policy and update its effective date. Material changes apply prospectively, and we may provide additional notice through the Service or by email when appropriate.
